How to pop the question to bridesmaids

While it’s totally acceptable to ask your best ones to be your bridesmaids, with a simple face-to-face question or text message, it’s becoming increasingly popular to ‘pop the question’ in a quirky and original way. So, if you want to ditch the conservative for the creative, here are some fabulous and totally achievable ideas for you…

Craft corner

If you’re a dab hand at crafting, why not create a personalised card for your bridesmaids-to-be to open? All you need is some card, a gold pen, glitter, sequins and glue. Try and keep it as sophisticated as possible, despite how fun glitter can be! Also, if you’re feeling adventurous, try and tie it in with the theme of your wedding. Simple colour matches will do!

Get digital

Why not go digital when you pop the question? This can be achieved through a simple but cute Instagram post. Choose an image of the two of you, (and you can do this for each bridesmaid) tag your friend in the Instagram post with the caption “I simply can’t say I do, without you! Will you be my bridesmaid?” Job done!

Sweetly does it!

Nothing says “Will you be my bridesmaid?” better than with a sweet treat. So roll your sleeves up get the flour out and get baking! A simple biscuit ought to do it. If you’re feeling lucky why not opt for cupcakes? Pop one into a box and attach a tag with the important question scribed on it.

A wee tipple

Are your best ones fond of a little drink? If so, then why not buy them their favourite alcohol miniature, attach a personalised tag to it, asking the important question? You can both drink to that!

Of course, in the grand scheme of things, no matter how you ask your best ones to be your bridesmaids, the most important thing is that they are thrilled and honoured to be asked! For more wedding hints and tips, follow us on Facebook.
