Real Weddings – Shannon & Zac
To give you an insight into how fabulous your wedding day could be at Swancar, we took the time out to talk to our most recent happily married couple, Shannon and Zac Taylor. They had the opportunity to become the first couple to ‘lock’ their love in place at our brand new Swancar Love Lock Tree on 11 June 2017.
First of all congratulations on your marriage. You both looked beautiful. What was the best part of the day?
Shannon: We loved everything about our day. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we could not have imagined the day going any better than it did. Each member of the Swancar team made sure we had the perfect day!
What do you remember most about the ceremony?
Shannon: I can remember walking down the isle trying to hold back my tears and when I got half way down and saw my husband-to-be the tears just stopped! All of the nerves just went away. As I stood hand in hand with Zac, I could just feel my legs start to shake. They were shaking so much. I was very aware of the fact I had 100 family and friends behind us. Also my cousin Leah had prepared a reading for us, and we also had a second reading – Winnie The Pooh by A.A Milne. That’s when my happy tears came flooding back. I was always a huge fan of Winnie The Pooh when I was younger so this meant so much to me. Then finally the most amazingly beautiful important two words of ‘I Do’.
You spend your childhood dreaming of the day you can wear a gorgeous dress, feel like a princess and marry your best friend, your soul mate and your Prince Charming and in those few moments it’s when you realise that this is your happily ever after.
What did you think the first time you saw your bride/husband to be?
Zac: When I first saw Shannon all I could think was how stunning she looked. Her dress was absolutely perfect and she was so beautiful.
What were you thinking the night before the wedding?
Shannon: Like it was a normal Saturday evening, it didn’t feel like we were getting married the day after. I can remember thinking we have spent all these long months planning everything down to the last detail and the day was about to happen. I couldn’t wait to see it all come together.
Did anyone give you good advice about marriage/weddings?
Shannon: Yes. Everyone tells you to enjoy every moment of your day as it all goes far too quick.
Why did you pick the song for your first dance?
Shannon: Our first dance song was ‘over and over again’ by Nathan Sykes. The lyrics just resembled the love we have for each other. I saw the music video and immediately thought of us!
Were you both nervous?
Zac: Not nervous, more excited to see how everything came together on our special day with our very close family and friends, especially as it was our first family wedding at our family venue!
We wish them a long and happy marriage!
